Wood Toothbrush With Charcoal Bristles?

So, I need to grab a new toothbrush for personal use and also wanted to get a couple for scrubbing new frag plugs. The zero waste movement has spawned the charcoal bristle brushes and I wonder if anyone of you have used them as I'm not sure if I should use charcoal on these frag plugs.

I might be wrong but is it just charcoal color? I doubt the bristles are actually made of charcoal. Most wooden ones like that one that I’ve seen tell you to pluck out the bristles before recycling/composting the wooden part since they’re plastic.

I get the sensation of biting down of a popsicle stick just looking at those things and it makes me cringe. I can’t even stand the texture of paper straws. It gives me the willies.

It says the bristles are "infused" with charcoal.
