So, I'm fairly new to saltwater keeping, and last night I added 4 new fish to my tank. I already had 2 Clowns, a Scooter Blenny and a PJ Cardinal. The 4 newbies are 3 Blue Chromis and another PJ Cardinal. This morning I fed my standard flakes. This afternoon I feed my normal blend of frozen mysis mixed with some frozen blend (about a pea sized chunk mixed with some water). When I walk away from the feeding, my fish were giving me a "look". That's right, they were all at the glass basically saying "um, that's it you crazy lady there's 8 of us now!?!?". LOL, note to self, get used to larger feedings.

So, with all that said, should I double the amount (2 pea sized)? They attacked it all right away, but I'm worried about overfeeding and maybe they were just hungry from the transport? Oh, my Blenny actually gets his very own pea sized chunk at the bottom of the sandbed.

I judge my feeding by the way my fish look. If they start to show signs of being underfed (sunken bellies or a "pinched" look) I up my feedings. My fish would eat until they look obese though. Just make sure you don't feed so much that the uneaten food gets lost in the tank or you're going to have water quality problems in the long run.

Thanks! I always carefully watch how much falls to the floor. My CUC usually get a tiny amount, and I'll keep a watchful eye. I was worried about the Blenny since my tank is newer and I don't have a large amount of pods yet, but I was lucky and he eats frozen mixed food and is getting kinda fat. :)
