Found this critter in a zoanthid colony that I purchased at my LFS. Is it good, bad or indifferent?

Looks like a ribbon worm. Ribbon worms are carnivorous, feeding mostly on small invertebrates

Would there be any benefit to throwing it in the sump?

Some people keep them. I don't see any harm in keeping it in your sump.
