Started end of April… Coming along slowly.
Cadlights 8(12x12 cube)
Modified sump compartment to house and hide vortech mp10
Lighting/ Nanobox tide
Started adding a few frags immediately
(started with established gravel and live rock).

Mistake #1 added catalina goby.
Local pet store did not have the yellow clown goby I wanted, since they had this colorful small goby I bought it. Read after the fact, needs cool water temps,he is about 1 month old.

Nothing in sump compartments yet(except heater), have been doing weekly water changes
Have Cobalt Neotherm 50watt heater nice small heater on order can be hidden.

Welcome!
That looks super clean and I like how that coralline rock was 100% coralline covered it must be nice to have such a super clean aquascape and no tank invaders!

Thanks…

Not totally pest free, had some aiptasia... two left to get rid of ;)

I blasted with them with boiling water, During the process I now have a white spot where coralline algae once covered . I think the boiling water kills it off also?
The tank will look a little cleaner when I get the new heater…
plans for ATO and making a removable basket for media. (easy media changes)

Want to add yellow clown goby now that pet store has them but not sure with Catalina in there right now… I am not messing with temp 78
not sure if there would be territorial issues. I guess I may just wait it out and enjoy him for the time being, even with full life span they don't live too long...

Looks really nice! What other corals do you plan on adding?

I just made a trade for some zoos that I will be adding I would also like to add both pocillopora and stylophora. My cobalt heater arrived, looks nicer getting rid of the large bulky heater.

I have kept Catalina Gobies before , they seemed to not mind 78 degrees. I think they tolerate warmer temperature.
My problem with them is they could get through overflow and into sump because they are small . I really think they are pretty . I might try a small dedicated tank in future to a group of them.
But you are right 100% about them coming from colder temperature . I went to a jazz festival on Catalina Island once, I think late September. I saw people swimming , and thought , I can do that. WOW , I lasted 30 seconds , max. Cold!!

Very nice! Your tank definitely has a great start. I especially love the coralline piece in the middle.

Wow just realized it has been a while since I posted... Already went through ups and downs mainly in beginning however the tank has been pretty stable for a few months. After the initial hiccups many of the frags put in the tank have been doing well. I definitely need to get a few pics up.

I have plans on getting that ratty birds nest mounted that is on the right hand side and gluing the plays in that area. Looking to get a nice colorful acre and some encrusting monti for some bare spots.

Try to keep hands out, but its difficult.
