Hey there! I just wanted to share my DIY algae scrubber made from a 2.5 Gallon tank. after almost 2 months the result is outstanding. I feed around 4-5 cubes of mixed frozen Shrimp, Mysis, Clams, Red Blood Worms, Daphnia and crushed pellets. The plastic mesh is about 6"x 4" and it runs 12hrs a day on a timer.

2.5 gallon tank and cover $18
2 LED grow light 25w from wish $10 each
bulkheads and barbs $25
black acrylic base $15
Plastic Mesh $2

A small pump, end cap, pipes and some hoses I have some laying around the stash "which pretty much all of us have" : )

Let me know what you think? :)
