Working with Stax rock and frag plugs

I am in the process of setting up a new tank. The aquascape consist of Stax rock and some pieces of Caribe Sea shapes. All the rock is dry . In talking with my friend from work , we always talked about if we ever had it to do over we would drill holes ever where in the rock to mount frag plugs. So I now have a perfect excuse to do what we talked about. I know a lot of people use super glue and putty to mount corals to the substrate. I may have to still do some of this but I am hoping it will be a lot less.
The Stax rock is flat cut pieces about an inch thick with lots of natural hole through out. I played with the aquascape until I happy with the current design.

As you can see there are lots of over hang areas and flat surfaces for coral placement. The top down picture gives you the idea how pourous the rock is. With my micro motor and carbide bit i was able to enlarge some of the holes to fit the stem of the frag plug.

The plug and discs are from Reef Creators.The plugs fit the holes and the discs can be glued the plugs if need be.
I used my micro motor and carbide cutter to make the holes fit the plug bases. I use this machine for my other hobby decoy carving.

I now have over 100 plug holes to mount corals with an endless layout.

The last shot is my buddy Bill's tank who inspired me to try this. He is a very good reefer as you can see.
