So I found this growing inside the weir…..I assume it is a pineapple sponge! At least it’s definitely a sponge of some sort. The narrow flat end is an open hole and the entire thing was mostly hollow.

Definitely is a sponge but pineapple sponges are white with a fuzzy top. They look like a pineapple. I get these in my sump and overflow box. Very neat

My rocks are covered with those yellow sponges. I have sheets of them...
