When we got home tonight, the little guy in the first pic below was on my glass, just above the slightly larger one in pic #2. The tiny one is about the size of a sharpened tip of pencil lead, and the larger one about the size of a pencil eraser. Any ideas?

Do you have dwarf or regular Ceriths?
I just found thousands of baby dwarf Ceriths a few days ago when I siphoned some sand and I couldn’t figure out what the back “specs” were

I do have Ceriths but after poking around some more I'm pretty sure the bigger one is a Nassarius. I assume they lay eggs though, so still not sure where the tiny fully formed one came from. Maybe just a coincidence he was there when the Nassarius went for a trip up the glass.

That makes sense, thanks. It was just weird (for me) to see a Nassarius up on the glass like that...mine are 99% down in the sand. He was also acting funny, and then the little Cerith nearby just added to the mystery.
