They kind of look like flatworms, is it possible to get a closer picture of one of them or a smaller group of them?

Look up red planaria and aceol flatworms and compare the google images to what you have. Unless you have a decent camera with a macro lens, it is going to be very hard to post a pic for us to perfectly ID them.

I looked it up and it’s definitely the aceol flatworms. How should I go about getting rid of them?

Is this a newer tank? If so, they usually will dwindle in numbers as fish are added and the tank matures. Certain fish eat them and then they regulate population with the amount of available food.

For the time doing, you can siphon them out and this will help to reduce the numbers.

There are items like Flatworm Exit and such that will get rid of them, but I am not of fan of chemicals, so usually do not recommend that route unless they were red planaria or some other one that eats corals.

With all of that said, I would siphon out as many as I could, clean the glass daily (this reduces an easy food source for them) and just let nature do it's thing.

If you are concerned about the loss of water, siphon them into a filter sock clipped to a bucket and then put the water back in the tank. Doesnt take a super heavy duty filter sock to catch them. Even an old panty hose around the end of the siphon hose will catch them.
