Hey guys. So I couldn’t find any resources online regarding keeping a Key Worm Eel in captivity. Question being, anyone ever keep one? And what were you most successful in feeding it and what process you used to feed him? Thank you guys in advance !

It’s in the snake eel family.

I used to have a sharp nosed eel. They will bury their body in the sand with just their head exposed and take a swim of the tank time to time. Feed silversides, shrimp and krill. I would use a kebob stick and imitate movement of food until it becomes used to the stick and would eventually just come up and take it off. Beware they have poor eyesight so sometimes you gotta help find the food.

Beware of overfeeding these guys. Their stomach is relatively small for their body length. Once or twice a week should suffice.
