It puts out 2 small feelers and retracts them if touched. Try to remove? The coiled area is hard.

This is a vermetidsnail and typical of its setting. These are not welcomed and needs to be removed. At the very bottom base you can take a pliers and cleanly break off and discard entire tube or place a dab of gel superglue from the dollar store over the opening and it will starve

Super glue applied, thank you! I did not know that vermitids coiled. From my readings, I thought they were small and vertcal.

Sounds like tube worms from what you described. These are Verms
