Worm ID needed

Yeah just as i said above looks LIKE (key word) im sure the ones in my frag tank are vary similar but probably from a different part of the ocean. Im just trying to get a life cycle idea now how to combat them and to eradicate them then just nuking the tank. I found this also vary handy.

I noticed when catching the worm, it went swimming to the water column before i could suck it up with a turkey baster it dropped super tiny bits of its body i believe it was maybe stolon. And the one i sucked out wasn't the one on the kenya tree. They might possibly been doing a mating cycle.
The one i caught was a female because i saw eggs in its body under the microscope.

I really didn't have a lot of time at work to look under the microscope and the worm was still alive and was moving to fast to take a picture. I really should just buy a microscope.

I would believe arrow crab would eat them as would velvet nudibranch if you can find one

I really didn't have a lot of time at work to look under the microscope and the worm was still alive and was moving to fast to take a picture. I really should just buy a microscope.

if we knew each other a year ago i knew a guy selling good nikon scopes for 100 each

Well so far no signs of this worm eating any of my softies so far.

Hope this helps anyone that come across these worms in there tank.

To be honest, I'm kinda interested in this worm. The kid in me wants to throw a bristle worm and this syllid worm in a dish to see if it attacts the bristle worm.... Well if i get around to it.

I'll post anything new that i might see from this type of worm here.

ah, so it is harmless, have you seen them eat anything? do they spend a lot of time on the coral?

There are days that they are out or when i feed they come out. I feel they maybe harmless to coral if they are feed enough.
Also no harm has came to my Nassarius snail that lives in the Oolite sand.

I ask because some worms have symbiotic relationships with corals where they only live in the presence of certain species

I don't believe these worms are symbiotic to the coral i have in my tank. Most of the time they are in the sand and rock work. I would believe if they are symbiotic to the kenya tree, it would spend 100% on the coral or within. There is no evidence to me of symbiotic relationship other then the substrate.
