Wondering what this worm might be? It lives inside the Zoa and comes out to filter feed? and than recedes back.
Seems to slightly close the surrounding Zoa polyps.

I am wondering if that’s the slime film from a vermitid snail. Do you see a hard shell under the zoa blanket?

Um, no hard shell that I can see. I do have vermitid snails. Although this seems different in that it not really a "web" that vermited snails cast out?

Digitate hydroid. Might wanna try and remove it with tweezers.
Yes! Thank you. Indeed it is a Digitate hydroid. It may be a challenge to remove w/ tweezers. Would Revive Coral Cleaner or something similar perhaps destroy this critter. Thinking I should take out the zoa still on the plug and use Revive Coral Cleaner?

Peroxide dip should do it.

Digitate hydroids, some say harmful but unless they're irritating the zoas around them they're harmless
