Worm ID X 2

Was looking in my tank the other night to see creatures that I don't normally see in the day and notices a worm that I think may be a Bobbit. So I check again the other evening and see another large worm as well!! first pic isn't very good but the creature is in the center of the sponge. The second one is very clear. Will try to post another pic in the next few days of the sponge one. I have also found a structure built of empty shell and rubble in the tank and think it is part of the Bobbit's home ( no pic)

1. first photo - Bobbit worm? (will try to get better photo)
2. second photo - Bristle worm?

The first pic , I really can`t tell anything about it but the second is a bristle worm (Polychaete sp.)

Thank you, thought it might be but most of my bristles are pink and not as large

Welcome to r2r!! Need better pic for #1.

Yeah I know and will try in the next few nights. It has stripped tentacle looking things arranged in kinda a circle that you can sorta see in the pic.

I am not sure, it doesn't seem to stick out any farther then where it is, but I just found it and will monitor. As you can see in the second pic it is not there any more and retreats into the rock behind the sponge.

Updated photo. Better but will need to use my camera next instead of my phone and hold a red flashlight.

No expert but from what I’ve seen bobbit worms do have stripy tentacle things but only 5, unlike the creature you have pictured. Any chance it may be some sort of anemone?

Def too many tentacles for a bobbit...whew... maybe aptasia...

Could be..only comes out at night and does not like the flash light though and is lightning fast!!
