Found a couple of these guys in my rear chamber by filter floss and bio media. Hoping someone can help me out. I’ve tired researching and haven’t had much luck.

Im thinking detritus worm. They generally show up when there is a lack of maintenance or siphoning. Other possibilty is Oenonids worm which is often found in the substrate. neither are of harm but best siphoned and removed.

It’s funny cause I actually just changed the media out last week that’s why I was surprised to see them back there. I never siphon substrate is that something I should be doing when I water change? I’ve read both ways on it and have choose not to. I do have a good portion moved around and stirred up though. I have a conch and couple nassarius snail to help move sand.
