That is a Eunice worm. I don't know exactly which kind, but not something you want unless you are doing a special tank for it. Some can grow really large and eat fish.

Also note, if it broke when you pulled it out, the other part will grow back a new head and you'll have the same problem on hand.

How did you manage to get them?

I didn’t catch them. I was redoing my scape for a new tank and got them as I was breaking down the rocks.
