New worm to add to the list. Not a Eunice worm this time! Found it stretching out of the live rock and grabbed it with tongs--unfortunatley, it broke. Is this a red peanut worm or the like? After a closer look in the dish, it doesn't look like one of the red flag, kill-it-with-fire hitchhikers. Thanks!

Also, it's not very bristly.

It's not the "kill it with fire" variety, no.
Looks like a predatory clam worm due to the conspicuous eyes, such as Oenone fulgida. These pests consume snails and clams.

Well I don't like that at all. I have a crocea (aka pride-n-joy) that I'd prefer no pests touching. Will keep an eye out for the other half of this worm. Any traps work on these?
Bristle worm traps supposedly work, but I do not have much experience with these guys. They seem to be more cautious than common bristle and fire worms.

I made a bristleworm trap for the eunice worms in my Evo, which they ignore. Will try it out in this tank to see if anything go inside--not sure how long it will take the worm from this post to regenerate its head, since the bottom half went right back into the rock.
