What is this? It looks green or brown with white tufts.

It looks like a bristle worm. They’re not ‘bad’ but they are considered an unattractive pest. For the tiny offspring, a fish like the Neon Dottiback or a coral banded shrimp will help control any outbreaks. It’s possible to make a bristle worm trap (you can look up how online). For the large worms, the best predator is an arrowhead crab, but they are VERY aggressive and will hunt other snails and crabs in your clean up crew.

A bristleworm of some kind. Possibly a a fireworm. If you can remove it I probably would. Was there any red at the base of the bristles or on the head?

Not that I could see. There were some that were more pink with white in the rock.

Agree it looks a lot like a fire worm because of the well defined rows of spines. Don't let the spines poke you, they're like under water porcupines.
So many critters will do you harm in this hobby
I have bristle worms, Longspine urchin and foxface. Not looking forward to being spiked by any of them
