Hi everyone! Just attaching a picture of this creature I found in a hole on my torch to see if anyone can ID, sorry it’s hard to see it’s tiny!

Hard to tell from the pic, video might be more useful. But I would guess it might be a peanut worm because it looks like my peanut worms. Peanut worms stay inside the rock and reach out with their body and use a little fan like mouth to capture particles or pick them up. If it's not a peanut worm I would consider taking it out especially if the coral seems stressed. I don't think it's a problem but especially if you are new or if the coral itself is new it's best to act on the side of caution since you have less of a sense of what's normal from the coral.

Here's some pics of the type of peanut worms that are common in reef tanks. If you google it say "peanut worm reef tank" because there is a type that is really big and used for fishing bait a lot and shouldn't be confused.:

Peanut worms are harmless detritivores. There is in fact a type of coral called a walking dendro that lives in a mutualistic relationship with the worms as the worms move the coral around using a hole at its base. They may be more active during or right after feeding time.

Expanding the photo, I see it as an empty cavity with a single hydroid sticking out of it.
To assure nothing is dwelling within.... at feeding time, Set your cell phone on video mode for about an hour and aim at hole and walk away. Come back and review. Food will bring worm or other occupant out.
