Worm inside of turbo snail shell

I have had 2 turbo snails for almost 3 years and the past 3 or 4 days this guy hasn't really moved. Today I found him upside in the sand almost all the way out of his shell, so I put him on the glass and noticed this worm coming over the top of him causing him to shrivel up. Any idea what this is?

Edit: didn't realize they were gonna be so blurry when I uploaded them. The worm doesn't have bristles. I can take a video if necessary.

I’d yank it with the worm. The snail is probably a goner at this point. It’s either a worm that feeds on snails, or your snails are dying and it’s being opportunistic.
