Worm like creature in my live rock

Hi all,

I’m new to saltwater reef tanks, just set up the tank 4 days ago, but I have these worm like creatures in my liverocks and when I tried to take them out using a tweezer I managed to get out a bit of one and they all went back inside the rock. See Pictures.

Those are starfish. They are good guys......Don’t pull their legs off! lol

Oh haha thank you, they must have just grown by themselves, I thought they were bristleworms

Yeah, could be brittle stars. If so good hitchhikers and omnivores that are reef safe and hardy.

Definitely brittle stars, and cool looking ones.

Every time I dip new corals I watch closely and pick them out before they die and add them to the tank/sump.

Good to know, thank you. I only have hang on the back equipment right now because my tank isn’t drilled, do you recommend setting up a quarantine tank? Or a type of sump

I do the same thing, also the same thing when I used to use filter socks lol
