I noticed a strange white line running across a digitata frag tonight. It looked like one end (head) was yellow/red, and had two antennas/feelers poking out.

I was quite concerned so 'extracted' it using tweezers. The while line, appeared to be a hard calcified tube. I managed to pull the whole thing out.

Pics are before, during and after extraction.

Any ideas what it is/was?

Not so sure...it might not be.
These snails grow on dead skeletons and rocks to my knowledge. Never seen them on live coral.

I've got a vermetid growing on the underside of my german blue digitata. Doesn't seem to iritate the coral. Polyps extend all around the tube.

Learned something today. Thank you.
But how is it not bothering coral, it's on its flesh..it must at least kill the area its growing to it. Also would not the snail tentacle bother coral?

Kinda looks like a tiny peanut worm. Does it only come out at night (lights out)? Does it react to light? If yes, you may want to look into peanut worms. The peanuts I’ve seen are all ~.25-.5 cm in diameter.

I removed it the same night I saw it for the first time. So not too sure on when it came out.
The tube was about 1cm long
