Hey all, saw this guy crawling on my rock work and couldn’t identify him as a usual suspect. Anyone know what this is? The head section is mostly transparent with the body being that interesting white/ dark grey diamond pattern. Below are screenshots from a video I took. It moved quickly, similarly to an isopod.

Hard to tell from the pic.

I never seen a worm that fast on marine tank what the heck is that lol

I don’t know man lol. I’m not super experienced so I’m interested in learning about it. It was pretty interesting to watch, I just hope it’s not some kind of parasite.

Oh my god so i thought its kinda weird to have a worm that fast then i thought of a leech, i watch a documentary on freshwater lakes and leecher are pretty fast swimmer, then i search sea leeches and i found sea lamprey... they are pretty much the equivalent of leeches on the sea

Yeah those don’t look pleasant. I don’t think that’s what we have here though because this has legs, doesn’t move by worm motion. I don’t think leeches have legs like millipedes.

Owhh i didnt see any legs mb

any appendages / feelers around the mouth? pairs of appendages?? even mandibles?

Unaware to notice any. Possibly small antennae, but no bigger than the size of the legs. No mandibles were noticed. If you can view the video through the link, that's the best view of how it moved. Sized similar to a sewing needle but a little wider spits hard to notice details on the head at that scale. It was mostly transparent on the head.

I'm of the belief that most fast worms are bad and predatory, eunice worms have proper legs like millipedes so maybe it's something along those lines, you would need to see it's head to be sure

I can't view the video though :(

Just seen the video, definitely moves like a bobit worm but hard to say for sure
