Is this a worm or something on the coral? Is it something bad?

it is at the bottom left of the coral, a little hard to see.

Vermetid snail tube looks like

Better, yes!

As @Crabs McJones pointed out, it's probably a vermetid snail shell.

Watch for web like mucus coming out of the tube. Eradication is easy, just break off the tube, and scrape any reaming off the skeleton. Make sure you get it all, as the worm is very tiny, and can hide in the base of the spiral.

As Crabs indicated- Vermetid tube, which runs down to an established base with the worm in it. You will have to go all the way to the base and cut off with Bone cutters OR dab gel superglue over the top at the hole.

Keep in mind, your coral can survive out of water for the time it will take you to break that snail off. Just be careful to not whip the polyps into it's skeleton, which can cause injury and possible death.
