Worm on my candy cane coral?

I’ve had this Candy Cane coral for about a year now. I always dip my coral, but any idea what this is? Some type of worm? Do I need to remove it?

Hi Michael. A picture under pure white lights would be a lot more helpful. The blues are removing a lot of detail there that could be helpful with an ID.

This is pure white lights
