Worm thing

There is this stringy thing attached to the glass in my brothers nano tank. I immediately thought spaghetti worm but it doesn’t really look like it’s alive. It’s just waving in the flow. Could it be a parasite or some type of growth?

Those look like snail eggs to me. Do they stick to anything if you try to touch them?

Edit to expand they look almost identical to the cerith snail eggs mine lay. They're laid in a sticky string usually stuck to the glass or another flat surface. I bet they were on the glass when he used the magnet, then stuck to it. Have had it happen several times myself lol

If you let them be, in about 1-2 weeks they should hatch and kind of just disappear. Either end up food for fish or they can grow. There's thousands there, so chances aren't awful you'll get a few that survive if the tank is healthy. Which they generally dont spawn unless it is
