Trying to upload video -

I purchased a small rock of Ricordea mushrooms and I’m trying to ID one or the hitchhikers (survived DipX)

It’s in a calcified tube, like a feather duster tube, but it doesn’t ever extend more than maybe 1/4”. I’m hoping its a Christmas tree worm, but don’t know.

It “reels in” strings of web-like mucus after I feed the coral. Pretty gross.

It will be impossible to help you id without even a couple of still pics under white lighting
My suspicion is that it is a vermetid snail which uses the mucus threads to capture food

Trying again with the video -

Sure was. A big one. Sorry for the post, that should've been obvious. I had suspected a Vermatid, but when it was in the tank, in the shadow, I couldn't see the shell at all. Once I had it out, it was clear.

During a water change, I removed the rock, cut off the entire shell, and searched for more. Cut off anything that looked suspicious.

Think I should do another DipX treatment? Would that even kill any tiny vermatids? The rock was in my tank for about 2 weeks, so it's probable that this will be an ongoing battle. dangit.
