Can anyone help identify what these are? I just saw them today on one of my cleaning magnets?
Also how to get rid of them too....hoping its not too bad.

Thank you!

Small bristle worm most likely. Look at getting a wrasse that will eat them.

Looks like bristleworms to me. You can make yourself a easy trap, there's a bunch of Youtube videos on it.

Are they bad for the tank/corals/fish? Is a wrasse the easiest way to get rid of them? I see 3 on the magnet....could there be hundreds?

If you've got that many on the magnet, you've probably got more hiding in the rock. You'll hear differing opinions on them, but I'd make/get a trap to knock them out.

oh boy.....ok...I'll make a trap and get a wrasse.....will a 6 line wrasse do it?

I consider Bristleworms an essential component of my clean up crew. They quickly consume dead, dying, decaying organic matter. Years ago, I used to actually buy them... until I figured out that they're virtually impossible to avoid. Let 'em be.

Oh, and leaving your velcro type cleaning magnets in the water can be a bad idea. Eventually, you'll get small tube worms or something else hard growing on it, and scratch the heck out of your tank. Been there, done that. I use Tunze magnets these days, and I try not to leave them in the water.

Good advice, I'll take the magnets out. I actually have a Tunze also....just put in this magfloat for an additional one.
