Can someone help me determine what this is? Should I get rid of it? If so, how ?

Thanks for your input.

Bristle worms are great for keeping sand clean. The churning created by them borrowing through the sand helps get impurities into the water column and in turn, filtered out.

Personally, the sight of one gives me the Heebie-jeebies. I found one under a big rock in my tank... it was about 14 inches long and as thick as a pencil. I don't like them getting too big in the tank. When they do, I grab them with a tweezers and dump them in my refugium.

Yeah, my wife calls it a brain sucking alien [emoji89] The thought of it really creeps her out!
