Came home tonight flipped on thr lights and see this interesting relationship lol can anyone id the worm

Colonial hydroids; might be best to scrub the shell in a separate container with a toothbrush to remove them. They sting and irritate corals
I may be wrong here, but I don’t think they’re asking about the hydroids (though that’s certainly a problem that needs dealt with) - I think they’re asking about the dark brown thing down by the point of the shell. It looks like either a flatworm of some kind or some variety of sea slug.

Doobiadave, if the brown thing is what you’re asking about, I think you may need a white light pic, preferably closer up to it for an ID.

Edit: reread the title - yeah, it’s probably the hydroids, and I’m probably too tired at the moment to be helpful on the forum, haha.
 
haha no I was talking about the hydroids if thats what those feathery things are on my snail just odd i never seen them and this tank hasn't been touched in 4 years and the snail stays buried untill night
