Worms as food

All of my fish love black worms. I actually use them to feed my LPS corals, and the fish just happen to get some. My Acans and chalices love the worms and are able to injest them very quickly. Some of my acans will actually pull the worms out of the turkeybaster I use. I've noticed increased growth in my acans when provided with worms several times a week.

So after reading this article I bought some black worms from my LFS and I have fed them to my freshwater fish before but never my saltwater fish. I got home and put some RO/DI in a cheap tupperware that I had, went to pour in the worms and spilled half of them on the counter and the dish towel...I'm glad my girlfriend wasn't home lol. So then I fed or attempted to feed my saltwater fish and the only one that I saw eat ONE worm was my Citron Goby. Should I just keep trying and see if they'll take to them?

I had a couple fish balk at first, but after a couple days are were all on the band wagon.

Your fish may be sissies and afraid of worms, but I never saw a fish that didn't eat worms except pipefish and seahorses, but they are Sissies. I would keep trying as your fish are not used to them and forgot that that's what they ate in the sea.

Yes fish are not bigots and will eat any color worm as long as it is alive.

where can I purchase these white worms online?

Could you please post a link to purchase the white worms
Having trouble finding them online
Thanks

I got them so long ago I don't remember, I just googled "White Worm culture

Thank you for sharing your experience Paul! I've always known food was important but never considered why, and never considered worms. I'm going to give it a go.

Bump....
Just ordering a white worm culture (since I don’t seem to have anyone around me that knows what worms are for a reef tank:) and will be doing the wheat bread with yogurt and yeast as @Paul B and others have talked about in later posts...

Thanks for alway bringing the past ways to the new ways Paul !

Brad, use Nutritional yeast, not the stuff bread is baked with. Totally different thing.
Try to get full fat yogurt. It will last in the fridge over a month, but I wouldn't eat it that old as it gets rather Funky. The worms don't seem to care. Bury the bread completely or it will grow "hair".
