Please Id this. I hope it isn't too bad. Very disappointed Right now.
I'll try to look at this in a different light. I'm 8months Into this tank so I'm very clueless as to what is healthy and what isn't. I also have pineapple sponges popping up in my sump. I thought they were parasite egg sacks. I'm just paranoid cause I really love my livestock currently???
The reason why many (most?) of us have reef aquaria is to observe a diverse community of rather unusual organisms. Most of these worms, snails, pods and such that make it into our systems are not pests and many can even enhance a system by performing various tasks (for example, bristle worms are great detritivores that help keep a system healthy).
Think of these first and foremost as interesting little treasures...until proven otherwise.
that's totally understandable! it's normal to be a little scared of the unknown. but as mentioned before, sometimes these creatures are wonderful and interesting and can be a cool addition to your tank. it makes reefing a lot more fun to relax and explore all the cool critters living in your ecosystem.I'll try to look at this in a different light.
