i posted a while ago about little feather dusters that I had. As I was blowing off my rocks today I found that they are some type of worm or work like creature.
They have become a nuisance and are irritating several of my corals because of how many I have.

Two questions, what are they and how can I get rid of them?

Also I have a video but I have no idea how to post.
I get a error message for the extension .mov

feather dusters,,a whole bunch of them.
pretty muck harmless filter feeders but may irritate the polyps..
never seen some though, I see tweezers in your future if you wish to lessen their numbers..

I thank you, I could never tweeze them enough to put a dent in the population. These things are the only thing I’ve seen that reproduce faster than aiptasia or Xenia.

Here is another one I have not seen #reefsquad

Again I have videos but can’t upload.

Thank you. Now I just have to figure out how to get rid of the feather dusters.

For videos, most upload to YouTube and link it here.

To have feather dusters multiplying hat fast, makes me think they must have plenty to of food. Are you broadcast feeding your corals?

Tank is standard 120, Triton method, 10 nitrate, .04 po4, 440 calcium, 1320 mag, 7.6dkh
Livestock is 1 melenarus, 1 flame hawk, 1 Blonde Naso (rescue), 1 magnificent foxface
Corals are fed reefroid, Coral frenzy, mysis mix twice per week. They are mostly spot fed, the acan colonies are getting too big for me to hit every mouth directly.
Fish are fed reef frenzy 1x1 square spread over three feedings.

The weird thing is all the corals came from my frag system. I had them all in the frag system for 10-12 months. They have all been in my current setup Since November 2018 (tank reset). I noticed the feather dusters popping up within a couple weeks of that.
Nowhere in my frag system do you see any feather dusters.
The only thing that was added without sufficient quarantine was snails

I am surprised the melenarus hasnt controlled them in the slightest. Honestly would have been one i would have suggested.
