Seems to be a peanut worm (Sipunculan) of some kind, but I'm not familiar with the species from the coloration. Peanut Worms are harmless/beneficial.
I got a better picture! At first I thought it was a mystery poo that was way bigger than all the rest; then it moved, haha. Still thinking peanut worm?Seems to be a peanut worm (Sipunculan) of some kind, but I'm not familiar with the species from the coloration. Peanut Worms are harmless/beneficial.
Hmm, it seems to be segmented in the pic, which would mean it's not a peanut worm; it also seems to have some striped tentacles. Looking at the pic and video again, it almost seems to be a polychaete (bristleworm) of some variety, but I don't think I've ever seen one with those splotchy, spiky parts on the top.I got a better picture! Haha, I actually do have an unsolved ID's tag on here for me to work on periodically, and this one has made the list.Wellllll, seeing as how I just saw my peppermint shrimp eating it, I think we’re going to have to file this under “unsolved mysteries”.
something is afoot- both this thing and my nassarius snail turned up on the substrate and died today. My emerald crab is missing, too, and I thought I knew all its hiding spots. Hopefully she’s just molting and hiding even deeper, but with these two mysterious deaths, now I’m concerned.
Ok well the good news is the crab turned up. I must have some nook I didn’t know about that I can’t see from any direction.Haha, I actually do have an unsolved ID's tag on here for me to work on periodically, and this one has made the list.
Yeah, two invert deaths and a third missing would have me concerned.
