So I ran some tubing from my ro unit under my house and to my sump and have a float valve that controls my ato.
Is this dangerous? I've had it this way for months, and I never really thought much into as far as failure goes, but if the valve ever failed my tank would be a goner.
What are the chances of this failure? Is it reckless to leave like this? How can I simply fix the issue? Would a siphon from my spare ro container be enough pressure to feed my ato?
After looking around, I've seen some solenoid valves that seem like they'd be an excellent option for redundancy if there's a good sensor I could hook up to it.
I could have it setup so that the solenoid valve opens around the same water level as the float valve, only allowing water to flow if both valves are open. If one fails, the other acts as a back up. Does anyone have suggestions on where to start with a solenoid/sensor setup?
How would this work for redundancy?
