About 2 months ago I finally got a Powder Brown Tang that I have been wanting. I Qt'ed him in a 28 gallon AIO with no problems. I did 28 days of copper, then a few doses of Prazi. He ate fine throughout and showed no signs of disease. I then watched him another week just to make sure and finally decided to put him in the DT. I used DT water for water changes on the QT, plus still did about 1 hour drip acclimation (in a bucket with a heater). He then went into the DT in an acclimation tank for a day. None of the other tank mates seem bothered by him and he didn't seem stressed so because the acclimation tank was kinda small for him I decided to let him out. He seems to get along with everyone, no one seems to be picking on him. Durring the day when the lights are on he acts completely normal. He meanders around the tank, eats well (Nori, Blackworms and LRF for herbivores), socializes with the other fish. The worry comes at night. At night he frantically swims the length of the tank, real fast. Its a 120 Long so its 5 feet long and he just goes back and forth all night long without stopping. All the other fish are asleep so no one is bothering him but its just back and forth. Is this normal for a PBT? I am afraid he is going to have a heart attack he is going so fast for so long.

This is him when I first got him. His back fin was kinda tore up because at the LFS he was in a tank with 2 Triggers a puffer and a Tusk, so they were nipping at him. He healed up great though in QT.

That's after QT in the acclimation tank. As you can see there is not much room in there so that's why I let him out a little earlier than I normally would. He was calm in both the QT and Allimation tank but now at night is goes ballistic. Hopefully this is just a phase and he will get comfortable but any suggestions would be appreciated

I think he just adjusting to the new environment. I have Tomini that did this the first time he went into my DT for about 2 wks, now she has calmed down
