Worried about to much flow for torch coral

I just got a new torch coral, and i really want it to sway with the waves, so i put it in a pillar-esque rock structure in my tank. (red sea reefer 250). I have a max spec gyre placed on the opposite end of the tank, and pretty close to the surface. The torch is vertically in the middle. Anyway, i got what a want, the torch has a lot of movement.

I really like it where it is, but my only concern now is if it's too much movement. Only observations I have is that it's always fully expanded, even at night when all other corals retract a bit. Second is that the torch flows against the gyre, which tells me the wave that's hitting it is the reflected waves caused by the gyre hitting the far side of the tank.

I know this might not be a lot to go on, but i've had polyp abandonments before with perfectly "happy" torch heads. (although i think those are due to kalk over-dose). I've only had it for two days.

Any insights would be great.
