Worst feeling ever

I have a smart ato.

I use the following code to turn it on every hour when I'm out of town.
I've timed my top off to be about 15 seconds every hour or so, so I leave it on for 25.

Now I don't worry about over flowing or drying out.

When I get home I switch the outlet back to on, so I don't hear the beeping every hour.

Fallback ON
Set OFF
OSC 000:00/000:25/059:35 Then ON

So you're back home now? Everything live through it?

Yup! Topped it back up slowly and everything looked great!

Ohhhhh, I like this idea! You'll never hit the second fill safety level because there won't be a second fill, and you can't overfill on the first if the sensor fails because of the short time frame, right? I think I'm definitely going to do this for my next trip! Thanks!

No problem.

Yeah you reset the unit every hour, and it will turn itself off if the water goes above it anyways.

You get the added benefit that if it doesn't shut off you are shutting it off as well.

It will also reset if it locks up.
