So I while I keep my aquarium media up to date and cleaned filter sponges have always been left alone, after a while stuff starts to grow. I was just cleaning out my filter (a custom sump/fuge setup) last night and found some weird stuff I'll post pictures of tomorrow. A brief description (without even poking around too much) is: weird opaque worm things that dont seem to move, amphipods (huge), coralline algae, chaeto, and bristle worms. The longer you wait the weirder it gets, its almost like being able to see into your sandbed. I'd love to see some more from other tanks.
