for me it would have to be on my first tank started way to fast and every thing died.Bad way to start.

the biggest mistake was getting into the hobby. Do they have AA for reefers? The first step is admitting you have a problem. I have a problem.

starting out with cheap equipment. Get the good stuff the first time as you are not saving any money at the end of the day.

marry a women with 3 boys j/k drop a current 48 inch pc in tank while lit

hey vetteman,

I could go on and on with this thread. I think we all could. I remember a couple years back I was adding rock to a brand spanking new 75g setup for a buddy and i dropped a 10-12 pound piece right through the bottom and busted the sump too. water poured and glass flew

that sucks,

left my calcium reactor return just laying over the sump.. it came out and drained the sump while the topoff was refilling... filled the basement with h20. I got lucky - salinity only dropped to 1.023... that was this weekend. ;-)

Worst done was as a noob gulable to being told a Yuma was rare fluorescent pink and green at a LFS and dished out a lot of money only to find out it was stressed and dieing. It melted, I smartened up to cons.

Without knowing I broke the heater in the sump moving stuff around lol luckly I had installed a GFI a month before so I just got a slight perm but sadly one of my many shocking events in the past 20 years lol(Halides are fun too).Hats off to the creator of titanum heaters lol

while moving out of my parents and slowly moving my tank too, i asked my dad to top-off and watch over the tank. he forgot it ever existed - everything died, my pumps fried, heaters broke. there was nothing left when i came home to pack it up.

This has got to be the worst mistakes in the aquarium hobby, right? It can not be the worst mistakes you ever made in your life!

I think buying a six line wrasse is most likely the mistake that bothers me the most.

Of course i dropped a 48 inch t5 fixture into my sump while it was on, it stayed lit and without thinking i stuck my hand in to retrieve it....
