Its been very cold here recently, so the central air/heating has been on a lot. I have a lot of dust around the house because of this, and I think its also in my water. Would a 50 micron filter remove fine dust particles floating the water column?

Dust ranges from ~0.5-100 microns. A 50micron filter would pick up most of the visible particles.

Depending on what’s the in the dust it may not be a reason to worry.

It just visually unappealing to me

it would clog in about a half a day.

i push a lot of water through my sump but 4 4x13 100 micron socks are clogged in 2 days...
My plan would be to just let it run for a few hours to get all the dust, than remove it. Not something I would keep in long term. The dust just looks visually unappealing
