I have a 20 gallon tank that I will be switching over to and was wondering if the aquaclear fuge mod would really benefit this tank? I do own the filter already and also the intank mod for it. I can set it up to surface skim and I would not need to drill the tank and install a sump. I plan on doing a 5 gallon water change a week on this tank. Any thoughts on this?

My first sw tank was a 20 tall and I had an aquaclear 50 that I modified as a fuge. It grew cheato and pods like crazy and gave me a place to put poly bags filled with carbon as needed. I say if you have it on hand already, go for it

Heres my old set up for reference

yes, turning your hob filter can be beneficial. the intake stuff isn’t even required.
