Would ChemiPure Elite cause Dinos?

I may have escaped a Dino outbreak, with only trace amounts.

Seems the reason...bottomed out my nitrates.

That being said, if I add ChemiPure elite because I hear it’s so good, what’s to prevent a Dino outbreak since it lowers NO3 & PO4?

Just curious since I have 2 bottles staring at me for my 75g.

I have not heard that it reduces NO3, is that a claim they make? If your PO4 is high it shouldn't be a problem I would think. If you lower your PO4 too much it could definitely cause a dino outbreak....ask me how I know!

What are your NO3 and PO4 right now? Why are you thinking of using it?

Water clarity. And that it last so long.
My water is fairly clear, but could be better. Seen that many love it. The HOB filters don’t last long and have to clean them every few days despite poly fill too.

NO3 very low. Currently getting it up. Was at 5 last night.

I have never used it so I can't say. I had a terrible Dinoflagellate outbreak. killed several CUC's I finally got it under control by raising NO3 and PO4, and adding micro bubbles coming through one of my return pumps

I did too. Took months. Everything looks great, then boom, they came back last week. Got it all out, dosed stump remover and haven't seen much of it since Saturday....but not holding my breath.
It sucks, you fight hard to get great water parameters, then these happen.

Chemipure elite has gfo which might be the culprit for stripping PO4, maybe try the chemipure blue which I believe has purigen.
