Now I know that technically side by side the radion g5 puts out more par than the g6. However my g5’s are running just the blues, violets, uv, and a very small amount of white. If I were to get the g6 upgrade boards could I theoretically gain par since the light channels I have at zero aren’t in the light and therefore have more physical leds running?

Depending on the tank size and the number of lights, you must be fine. Even if it is a 24” cube with 1 XR30, you should be able to get enough light with G5 or G6, Pro or Blue.

XR30 G5 Pro - 60 blue/violet/UV LEDs
XR30 G6 Pro - 64 blue/violet/UV LEDs

XR30 G5 Blue - 78 blue/violet/UV LEDs
XR30 G6 Blue - 86 blue/violet/UV LEDs

Looking at the numbers above, if you want more blue and PAR, the only sensible upgrade is from an XR30 G5 Pro to XR30 G6 Blue.

I am running blues currently and I have a mixed tank. Softies, lps, and sps. Everything is doing great, but lights are pushing pretty hard, thought maybe upgrade 3 g5 to g6 and add 1 more to the tank and run all at a lower percentage to achieve same or slightly higher par.
