I'm there. DINO's. Yup DINO's. I have been battling for weeks. I've scraped, scrubbed, siphoned, WC's, added copepods, phytoplankton, but no chemicals until now, well not yet but next week. I can't take it anymore. It is starting to suffocate corals and it's spreading quickly....so after tons and tons of research I am going to give hydrogen peroxide a chance. It's do or die now in more ways than one. What I'm looking for from this community is what your hydrogen peroxide regime was to battle these dang dino's. I will share what I think I'm gonna do but want people out there that have experience battling these .

My plan:
*Raise my tank temperature to 82-83 degrees over the next week
*Siphon out what I can first
*Dose 1ml hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons of tank water every 12 hours for 2 weeks(not sure on duration of time)
*dose microbacter7 during this process as well (yay or na)
*cross my fingers, eyes and toes and hope for the best. It's either the dinos kill my tank or I do.....or it cleans up its act.

Please....offer what you've done to defeat dinos in the past with success. Either that or I have a tank for sale

My Dino stage lasted months, all I did was syphon, blow it off the rocks to keep it suspended and limit the lighting hours.
It went away on it's own buttttt then came GHA with a vengeance. It really is just a cycle.

I can't offer anymore than my experience. That stuff is insidious.

Make sure to keep phosphates and nitrates within reason to help expedite their end.
Good luck and just try not to lose your mind over it.

Right on.
Nitrates 5.7
Phosphate 0.07

Use hanna checkers for testing.

Have you tried a refugium with chaeto?
I have a AIO system. But I have a DIY Fuge basket in the back and I take out a bigger than softball, but smaller than volleyball size of chaeto every 3 weeks it grows so much. I'm currently researching uv sterilizers. I have a small 5watt uv but do not think it's enough for a 30 gallon tank. IDK for sure though.

Check Reef Chemistry section for dinos, some great advices are there. From creating competition like live phyto (OceanMagic by Algae Barn), diatoms (by dosing liquid glass), Dr. Tim's ReStart and WasteAway combo.

Agree getting larger UV light.

2 other things helped with my dinos and cyano:

1) Oxydator to add oxygen to the aquarium
2) Dosing Phytoplankton

I crank my Radions to 80% Light Point Intensity and don’t have any problems with nuisance algae. Before and after pics.

I know this sounds crazy but you need beneficial bacteria and more nutrients. Just keep sucking them out and eventually they will fade off. Uv sterilizers help a bunch if you wanna go that route. They need light to live so skipping a day on your light schedule will knock them back while the bacteria grow to out compete them for nutrients.
