Hi all, I have an angel with a bacterial infection and the red mark on her is spreading. She isn’t doing very well. She is periodically resting on the bottom. I have some NFG powder on the way, but I’m pretty sure she isn’t going to make it until that arrives. I have liquimyacin and penicillin for cattle, is there any chance that would help her??? I’ve never heard of giving fish a shot but I’m willing to try anything at this point. The store has already said they would replace her. But if I can I want to save this fish

Penicillin is broad spectrum especially against streptococcal infections , which can be common in fish. Dosage would be 500mg per 10 gallons. Use an airstone and perhaps an additional ph near the surface , this will effect the biofilm so also keep an eye on ammonia. I am not sure it’s effectiveness in saltwater I have only seen used to treat few fish. Some antibiotics effectiveness is based on water pH unsure of penicillin.
