Would this brand be safe for filtration media?

it isn't going to hurt anything I've seen people use it before
Thanks just making sure there nothing that it’s safe and doesn’t put anything unwanted in my water

I used similar without issue (rinse first to avoid skimmer overflow). Reef diaper is better option for me, not much more material, not too expensive, much easier and more consistent.

I've been using it for years w/o any issues. I bought a 20 POUNDS bag that should last me another year (or two). :)

(EDIT: sorry, Amazon link not working)

  • Ideal fill for stuffing animals and decorative pillows to give it that squishy and comfortable feeling
  • Wonderful fill for hand-made dolls and toys
  • 100% Polyester fiber fill
  • No added chemicals or flame retardants
Just make sure it doesn't have any added chemicals or flame retardants. And yes, as others mentioned -- just rinse it first.

Thank you appreciate it going to give it a try see how it goes

works fine, have used it many times in the past. Agree you must rinse it first or causes skimmer to overflow.

Hey I didn't know about skimmer flow will remember that detail

like @bakbay pointed out just make sure it has no added chemicals like antifungal, microbial or flame retardants. I use this also on a few tanks.

I never rinse it. I use the Poly-Fil Premium...the same one you have posted. No problems with the skimmer going crazy. It contains no chemicals etc....safe for reef tanks

I'd be much more cautious than others about generic pillow filling. Careful rinsing is in order, IMO.
