Would these setups work for fish and invert/coral QT?

With the finish line in sight as far as setting up the tank goes, I think it's a good time to start looking at AQ setups.

From doing some reading, there not a ton that's required as far as equipment goes but I wanted to check here anyway. This is what I was looking at getting for both the fish and then another for invert/coral QT:

Doesn't see like too bad of a deal for $50 for the whole lot. Would there be any significant benefit of going from a 10 to the 13? Equipment looks identical, except for 10g is 13" and the 13g is 18" tall. Also going to grab an ammonia badge and an actual thermometer because these come with crap sticker ones.

The Petsmart near me had 20 gallon tanks that came with a hanger on the back filter, led light, and thermometer on sale for $47. I picked one up as a quarantine tank. They had the 29 high on sale for $65 with the same basic equipment. I set it up yesterday and believe that it will make for a good quarantine tank.

I’m Running an old Flexi jet right at the surface to make sure I get enough air exchange. An air stone may do the same thing.

I'm setting up a QT also, and just had same question about tanks, I ended up with 13gal for a taller setup. I guess with a taller tank you could fit bigger fish and in my case, some live rocks that going to quarantine few weeks to be pest free peace of mind.
A 20gal is bigger foot print so not so easy to fit for me.
Rest of my QT setup is a heater, filter sponge and light. I have a small power head in case of flow needs.

10g kit is $32 and comes with an adjustable heater, an actual glass thermometer, HOB filter and led light.

Adding to that a seachem badge and maybe an air stone (maybe powerhead?).

Any concerns before I pull the trigger?

PS. I do plan on getting 2 (maybe 3?) tangs for the 120 and they would also go through QT in this size tank.

With a HOB filter you dont need an air stone, maybe a powerhead for flow, but not to big, you will not need too much flow in there and space will be reduced.
To QT 3 tangs at same time I guess they will be small in size to fit them in a 10 gal.

Yup.

If you want to QT at same time inverts and fish, then yes. The ideal is to have dedicate QT for each purposes as fish QT may have medications.
In my case two QT setups is not at option (not at this time). In case meds are used I'll have to clean very good all stuff prior to qt inverts.

I think 20gal is good for fish QT, its longer and more water volume to dilute stuff. And you can always use less water if smaller fish are going in.
I use a water jar to fill mine and mark different water levels, as for water top off and correct dosing of things. I think that will be helpful at some point.

I had a medium sized yellow tang that I needed to quarantine and it felt too small going less than 20 gallons. That’s just personal opinion and I’m certainly no expert at quarantining fish but three tanks in a 10 gallon would make me real nervous. The biological filtration is just not that great in a cutie set up and I would worry a lot about ammonia causing me issues with that kind of a bio load. Definitely not an expert though so others may think that a 10 gallon is fine
