My tank is only 2 months old, it is a 29 gallon with a 20 gallon sump (only 15ish gal in it). Ammonia, nitrates, nitrites all 0. I HATE my aquascape and am thinking about taking the rock out and cutting the rock so there are flat spots so that it sit perfectly and looks good. Would this cause a mini cycle to be out of water for 30ish mins? I know some bacteria would die off but will all? There is about 40ish lbs in the DT and about 2-3 in the sump. Currently in the tank there is a skunk shrimp and a porcelain crab. If there was to be a mini cycle could these die?

No not with only 30mins you shouldnt have to worry try to keep them in some prepared saltwater when you are not cutting. Second if you are really concerned that there could be a spike you can always use some ammonia lock or orther brands to neutralize any ammonia spike.
