might be a bit strong...
I was pretty happy with this once it's programmed.

But, on some of the Maxspect gyre's you can pull off one side. then turn it way down. Also are you doing SPS? Because even then it might be a too much for softies. If it is cheap then give it a try.

something like a jebao slw 5 (probably turned down to around 50%) would be a better size for the tank. Having a slightly bigger pump and using it at a lower power level helps a pump last longer and lowers sound.
The gyre would most likely have too much flow even at the lowest setting
 
I"m not an expert but I would make sure you have new wood floors first
 
I agree gyres are overpowered for a 15 gallon..... I have 2 sicce voyager nano's on my 15 gallon softie tank, great little powerheads for a cheap price that will last years.
 
You will find with a 15g tank most powerheads are too strong, even on their lowest setting.
